2023 MINI Electric updated for Malaysia – Panoramic roof, RM 199k

At the media event by BMW Group Malaysia that saw the launch of the 2023 BMW 3 Series (G20) LCI, the company also announced the updated 2023 MINI Electric, now with panoramic sunroof, heated seats, as well as a new Nanuq White colour.

Apart from the two additions, standard equipment remains as before with an 8.8-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, while audio is channelled through the 12-Speaker 360-watt Harman Kardon Sound System.

Other features include head-up display, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.

No changes on the electric propulsion unit, with an electric motor rated at 184 PS/270 Nm as well as a 12-module T-shaped battery unit with a net capacity of 28.9 kWh. 0-100 km/h is dealt with in 7.3 seconds while top speed is 150 km/h. Driving range on a WLTP cycle is quoted at 232 km.

AC charging is rated at 11 kW, while DC fast charging is up to 50 kW.

On the safety font, it gets Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant as standard, which includes AEB, LDW, and high-beam assistant.

The bump in equipment likely reflects the price revision announcement by BMW Group Malaysia last week. The 2023 MINI Electric is now priced at RM 199,164, up from RM 191,164 from before. Prices stated are inclusive of the extended warranty and service package.
