Goodbye, Ken Block. You will be missed.

Rally driver and online personality Ken Block has died at the age of 55 following a snowmobile accident.

His passing was confirmed in a Jan. 3, 2023 Instagram post
by Hoonigan, the lifestyle brand that Block co-founded.

“Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon,” the company said. “And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed.”

Although details of the accident have not yet been released by authorities, Block posted on his Instagram page that he had been snowmobiling in his ranch in Utah since late December 2022.

Block began his racing career in 2005, competing in national rally events in the United States. He also competed occasionally in the World Rally Championship and various rallycross events from 2007 to 2018.

He later gained fame for his “Gymkhana” videos, where he would drive high-powered rally cars in death-defying and action-packed sequences. 

Block was also the co-founder of DC Shoes and competed in other sports like motocross, skateboarding and snowboarding.
