Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) achieved a milestone by opening its first dealership since starting operations on July 2022.
The Korean carmaker announced in a December 2022 press statement that Hyundai Roxas has officially opened its doors in Barangay Bolo in Roxas, the provincial capital of Capiz.
The dealership is built on a 3,783-square-meter lot with a showroom that can display four vehicles. It also has six service bays to handle maintenance and repairs.
HMPH directing coordinator for aftersales Young Uk Ko, said the company is “very excited” to be in Roxas City with the help of the Ang Group, which has worked with Hyundai since 2002 as the manager of Hyundai Iloilo.
“It was just a few weeks ago when we had a special unveiling in Iloilo of our new MPV, the Stargazer,” Ko said. “And today, we celebrate yet another milestone for the Ang Group, with the inauguration of Hyundai Roxas.”
“We are grateful for their continued trust and confidence towards the Hyundai brand,” Ko added. “And we look forward to helping them achieve more breakthroughs for years to come.”
Ang Group chair Antonio Ang said the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the construction of Hyundai Roxas, which started in 2019.
“Thankfully, after three years and overcoming that significant setback, I am proud and enthusiastic to finally welcome you all to our showroom,” he said.
“Here at Hyundai Roxas, as with all our dealerships, we promise to continue offering high-quality cars, products, and services because we value our clients’ time, hard work, and investment,” Ang added.
Hyundai Roxas is among the dealerships that comprise HMPH’s target of having 45 dealers nationwide by 2023.
On July 2022, HMPH took over the Korean brand’s passenger car operations from Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc., headed by Fe Perez-Agudo.
Perez-Agudo continues to handle all sales of Hyundai commercial vehicles in the country through Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc.
