Important Information

How do I take ivermectin

  • Do not take this medicine for a longer time than your doctor has recommended. Follow the instructions on your prescription label.
  • Ivermectin should be taken on an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after eating.
  • It is usually taken in one dose. Drink a glass of water with this medicine.
  • You may need to take ivermectin a second time to effectively treat your infection. This can happen several months or even a year after you have taken your first dose.
  • You may need to take more than one dose if you have a weak immune response. This medicine should be taken on a daily basis by those with a weak immune system. Follow the instructions of your doctor.
